The renowned and successful local entrepreneur, Wahib Qubei, born in Beit Jala, considered one of the oldest cities in the West Bank of Palestine, opens the doors to the El Palmerola Online press team. Beit Jala, or Beit Yala, belongs to the Bethlehem governorate and is located at an altitude of 825 meters above sea level on the slope of a hill covered with olive trees, many of which are centuries old and date back to the time of Jesus Christ, as well as vineyards and fruit plantations.
This city is located near the cities of Bethlehem (just 2 kilometers away) and Beit Sahour, only 7 kilometers from Jerusalem. Beit Jala had a population of 11,758 inhabitants, with 75% being Christians (mostly Orthodox) and the remaining 25% being Muslims. By early 2019, its population had grown to 15,670 inhabitants.
